We Will Win
While we lock our creative selves behind closed doors and hope and pray and hope again.
While we wait in hope that our world would be healed and rid of this evil disease.
While we bow our knees and our cores in awe to the almighty seeking, praying and weeping.
While we wait for the wake of a new beginning
Bemoaning our loss.
While we count with heavy hearts
The daily loss of our treasured ones whose beautiful lives were untimely trimmed by a raging plague.
While we wail and cried and wailed some more
With heavy hearts our eyes bulging like over beaten drums
While we wait that all this will end
and we will wake from our seemingly endless nightmare
Some bigotic fools dares to toil wit our sacrifices and dash our hopes
We won't waver in our efforts to make our world safe again.
We will wage a good war
We will win
We will stay sane and fight.
We will not loose hope.
We will win.
And when the dawn rises and the roses blossom
When spring returns and are fields become colored again.
We will dance
We will sing and rejoice and dance some more
We will win.
But never again would we neglect a friendly handshake
A dance in the hall
A walk in the park
A friendly hangout
For when all this is over
A friendly visit will echo more than a thousand words.
